今天看了一篇关于经济学journal排名的文章(http://www.bepress.com/bejeap/vol9/iss1/art34/)。文章被引用次数往往是杂志排名的一个重要指标。作者发现同一个杂志中不同文章的引用次数有很大区别。有些杂志的引用次数集中在少数一些文章中，但有些杂志的引用次数分布更均匀。如果某个杂志有些大牛定期灌水，然后除了这几个大牛外灌水的都是小虾米。由于大牛文章被引用次数高，杂志的平均被引用次数就上去了。但这并不反映杂志的平均水平。所以作者认为按照被引用次数的中值(median)而不是平均值(mean)去排名更合理。下面是按照平均值和中值的排名。比较一下，发现不同方法排名对前十和后五的杂志影响不大。体现了强者恒强，弱者恒弱。中间在中值排名下受影响较大的杂志包括1.Journal of risk and uncertainty(前进7名)；2.journal of law and econ. organization (前进5名)；3。AER P&P(退后5名)；4。journal of industrial economics (退后7名)；和5。journal of applied econometrics(退后11名)。
